We use many brush fill materials from synthetics, animal hair, plant fibre, wire and special purpose materials. Each has its own unique properties suited to different applications. Take a look at our guide to fill materials, but if you can’t find anything suitable or you would like some advice, simply get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Depending on what you are trying achieve, we are able to provide different brush densities to suit your application. Although there is no hard and fast rule, cleaning applications generally benefit from a more open construction whereas supporting and surface finishing applications require a more dense brush face. We are always on hand to offer advice so simply get in touch and we’ll happily offer advice.
Whatever you want to seal, simply select the brush height closest to the size of the gap you want to seal. It is better to choose a brush height slightly over size so that you have more flexibility in the seal. When fitting to a slot or similar style opening, a better seal will be achieved by fitting opposing brush strips along each side of the slot.
This is a very common question and one of the hardest to answer. Each brush application is unique and as such, each has a different life expectancy. The working life of the product not only depends on the materials used, but the frequency, speed, temperature, pressure and surface the brush is working on. Our aim is to produce the very best product for your application so you can rest assured that our technical team will work to deliver both performance and value.
